Pretty rad to see three of my current favorite artists playing together.

If anyone hasn’t checked out the Becca Mancari record, I strongly recommend it.

Definitely not the songs I would have expected her to play, but digging this regardless. So rad that Julien Baker is playing with them

 

I was really happy she chose them. Feel like the first third of the album got most of the live performance promo, but most of my favorites now are further down the tracklist.

 

The only thing I don't love is that I just haven't been able to get into Taken; I always skip it. I just really want a performance of Crystal Clear - I think it's the best on the album by a lot. Really fun performance regardless tho :)

 

Oh I’ve always enjoyed that one! It’s nice to have an upbeat song for my playlists that’s got less hanging around its neck than something like “Dead Horse”.

I dig “Crystal Clear” and I get why fans seem to want a live rendition, but that seems like a hard thing to pull off from a production standpoint. Some day she’s going to do an iconically sad performance of “Why We Ever” and then this album cycle will be complete for me.

 

Is this a new announcement? Had no idea she was doing an acoustic EP!

 

She announced it a couple weeks ago, I believe!

Also, this version of Simmer is like the sequel to Misguided Ghosts, one of my top songs of all time. Hayley is just firing on all cylinders this year.
