They haven’t released anything better than decent in 15 years but Incubus are a fantastic band

ACLOTM is an all time guitar album for me

 

Incubus' EP from earlier this year was decent, best thing they've put out in a long time.

Pre Crow Incubus is good. Everything after is meh.

 

Love yourself enough to listen to whatever YOU want.

 

This is where I'm at, though I will admit it's hard to say how much is nostalgia. I mean, if nothing else, Make Yourself is a fantastic mainstream rock record for its time, when you put it up against Staind or Papa Roach or whatever else was playing next to it on the radio.

 

The last two albums where not my cup of tea. But Light Grenades is a solid album. My favourite by them next to Science and ACLOTM.

I'm still pissed I missed the Deftones/Incubus/Taproot tour in late 2000. 3 of my favorite acts ever, especially at that time.

 

Yo, Incubus is so good.

Even if the newer stuff isn’t as amazing, there’s still a handful of tracks on both albums that are good. The run of Make Yourself -> Light Grenades is unmeasurably great and goes to show how talented they were for that era when many “mtv alt rock” bands died off after a hit or two.

Incubus gets lumped in with other alt-radio rock of the early aughts much like Deftones get lumped in with other numetal acts. Deftones are a much better band than Incubus but both bands transcend their peers.
