This is fine so far, I don't see myself coming back to a lot of this. I'm only to Korea so far though.

Honestly I'm expecting to listen to this once and not come back to it, remix albums dont generally do it for me. I'll give it a try tonight though.

Honestly... I'm into how 'gutted out' Feiticeira is. It feels like a creepy intro track to the album.

Digital Bath is the really weak one for me. Apart from hearing Chino's vocal performance more clearly, it adds nothing.

I really dig RX Queen, Street Carp and Teenager as a three track run. All three work in their own ways. Street Carp sounding beautiful and romantic is a twist I didn't see coming. The new piano part on Teenager is so simple and so brilliant.

Korea's really cool but it's not a remix. Tourist's version of Change is a really pretty slant on the original. I hated Squarepusher's remix of Pink Maggit on first listen. Somehow it's kind of working for me now. I like the way it's been restructured, and the trippiness of it abstracts it in a way that I'm digging for some reason. The original intro is my favourite piece of music Deftones have ever done so having that part of the song end the record is fine by me.

I think Digital Bath and Knife Party are pretty dull remixes, and Mike Shinoda really gets in the way of Maynard's vocals on Passenger, which robs it of its power. I don't mind the Blanck Mass remix but it is very much a Blanck Mass song with Chino's vocals inserted. Other than that, I like the majority of this, which is a result as far as I'm concerned. I think there's some really cool accompanying pieces to the originals.

Bummed to hear about Feiticeira. Clams is great, and that’s my fav Deftones song.

Squarepusher did what DJ Shadow should've done - he utilised Abe. If you're going to keep the pacing similar you cannot just throw out Abe's drumming on Digital Bath.

  10. Overall, BS is underwhelming. It’s cool to hear a different take on the songs but nothing really jumps out.

  11. Yeah, I love Clams Casino, kind of bizarre how it literally sounds like a totally different track but I guess that's the point?

  14. "Street Carp" with Phantogram is also doing it for me. I like this quite a bit. I won't listen to it more than the record proper, but I love having new versions of these songs to visit now and again. Could definitely see me throwing this on from time to time to get a different flavor of a record I love dearly

Elite is dope. I didn't mind Feiticeira but yeah it's nothing special.

Just finished that song and the last little bit with Chino's vocals is spectacular. The whole song is great.

  20. That "Change" remix was absolutely gorgeous, what the fuck are people on about

  21. The "Pink Maggit" remix is an insane accomplishment and the perfect way to end the album/bring it all together. Honestly really enjoyed this. Even the "Passenger" remix grew on me.

If I could just forget it

    It's the standout for me.

I really like the album a lot more that I thought I would given the initial impressions I've been reading. I think it helps that I know very few of these artists.

On Teenager now ... initial thoughts are very similar to what everyone else is saying. Feiticeira sounds like just a generic "intro", which seems wasteful.

Street Carp and Teenager are both standouts so far. They really highlight Chino's melodies in both songs.
