Akers earning himself a spot in my starting lineup next week

 

I forgot to take Akers out to play coutee, kinda glad I did lol

 

I lost Gibson but gained Akers.

I couldn’t believe Akers was on waivers prior to last week and then I realized I’m the reason he was. I texted the Akers owner (who was already out of it) to pick up Wilkins once J Taylor was announced with COVID because I needed the J Taylor owner in my league to lose lol ... he dropped Akers for Wilkins.

 

lol exactly my situation. I picked up Akers in week 12 just for my bench. But with Gibson out he’s in my flex lol

 

Wow can it be true? I made a good fantasy decision by starting Akers...just need a TD now

 

So happy I started Akers last minute.

 

I regret starting Cam Newton. Hopefully he can at least get some garbage time yards/TD.

Edit: jk he has been benched. Fuck me.

 

I know the patriots are essentially in rebuild mode, but man being an actual fan of a team sometimes makes fantasy suck. My heart told me not to start Rams defense (in both of my leagues), but my brain said to do it.

Had to listen to my brain. Glad I did.

Also happy I started Akers.

 

So happy I stuck with my gut & started Akers

 

Against the Jets of all teams too

 

Kupp really had to catch that useless TD against me. Love it.

 

my opponent has Ridley and Hayden Hurst so fuck

 

Fucking Julio fucking me in the fucking playoffs a tale as old as time.

 

Ridley will get his share of targets, but I feel like that entire offense plummets without Julio on the field. There's the chance Matt Ryan just overly sucks ... but I understand the obviously Ridley blowup concern.

 

Well... guess I won’t start Ryan this week!

If I ever see Julio Jones irl I'm going to do nothing because he's a monster and would put me in a dumpster.

 

I am the 1st seed but the way my league panned out I'll get stuck facing one of these teams next week and I am SO stressed already:

Team 1: Dalvin Cook, Chubb, Mostert, Michael Thomas, AJ Brown
Team 2: Derrick Henry, Carson, Thielen, Metcalf, Aaron Rodgers

How the hell do teams get this stacked in a 12 team league.

Tonyan. Kendricks is scary good and Tonyan could definitely go off more.

 

That's how I'm leaning.

 

I have no idea how Team 1 got Cook/Chubb/Thomas barring a trade. Mostert was hurt and AJ Brown is a 4th/5th pick, so those make sense.

Team 2 is basically a perfect draft; Im guessing the 2 or 3 pick, take Henry, Carson late 2nd, Thielen early 3rd, Metcalf late 4th, and then Rodgers, hell he averaged like a 10th round pick.

But yeah, thats what teams with minimal injuries look like

 

in the $$ league on this site, I drafted Cook, Ekeler, ARob, McLaurin, DK Metcalf and Swift the first 6 rounds

I traded Metcalf for Mixon early in the season and with the injuries to Mixon, Ekeler and Swift I have been screwed but its good to know that at least my process was on the right track lol

So, sounds like Swift is playing this week and 'he may not be as limited as previously thought.'

With CMC and Gibson both presumably out, do I start Swift at RB2 or David Johnson at RB2.
