Hayden returning is the highlight of Star Wars news

 

I feel like dropping a high republic show makes no sense without a movie.

 

I was pumped for Kenobi, but the mention of the "rematch" kind of squandered that. If that's what it legitimately is, that's gonna be pretty lame.

 

Hayden not a highlight of anything that happened today.

This is kind of how I'm feeling. The Rogue Squadron announcement doesn't do much for me outside of Jenkins being attached. I have no real desire to see Obi-wan and Vader have another duel, so I'm hoping that's not the road it ends up going down. Mando is good and getting better, but the idea there are now two companion shows that are going to cross over feels somewhat exhausting (this is a nitpicky complaint, admittedly).

Still, I do love SW, so I'm probably going to watch them all.

That’s fair. I was definitely trying to ruin his day by disagreeing.

I’ve already posted numerous times about how pumped I am about everything.

but it’s cool people are excited about Hayden. I think he’s a terrible actor and really pulled down those movies.

 

The other announcements are all based on something we have knowledge of already. I have no idea what to expect from Acolyte and that’s very refreshing.

 

I totally agree with this. I love the idea of new characters and a new era to explore.

Is it possible Acolyte is based off of one of the Darth Maul books?

 

it’s from the High Republic era, which I believe was a few (thousand?) years before the prequels.

 

is High Republic like the new canons rip off of the Old Republic? has anything been set in that time yet?

 

Have you ever seen Shattered Glass? Or was it called Broken Glass? Either way, I will never not see Hayden as that whiny character. I even see it when I’ve rewatched the prequels

 

I haven’t. But I saw Jumper, unfortunately. And Attack of the Clones. Lol.

I believe it's something like ~300 years prior to the prequels. I believe Yoda is a minor character and is a 600 year old Jedi Knight (possibly Master) during that time.
