Subbing for later but for now all I'll say is that this year I gave up buying new albums. I need that money for my family now I have two little kids. I stuck with Spotify, and as a result:
. I listened to way more albums (new and old) than any other year -- including full discography runs of classic bands etc
. I did not love any albums from this year, at all. I don't think I know how to feel truly invested in an album that I can't hold in my hands.
