Yeah I'd say age becomes less relevant once those involved have at least a few years of adult life experience.


Personally I'm intimidated by those who sorta kinda have their lives together lol and prefer ppl who are just as lost and confused as myself! Screw those people who have had their lives planned out since they were like 15!!

I don't think I could date someone too old or young to understand my love of 90s/00s pop acts. I need them to understand how exciting it is to know that O town is currently on tour with 98 degrees and Ryan Cabrera. Or the flipside if I was like "remember this song???" and they only know it as some throwback song from a Vine and not a school dance classic.

 

the only thing preventing me from dating Lorde or Zendaya, just that no other reason

 

one of the many reasons I prefer talking to people online vs irl is that there's less of a worry of people not understanding my references

I think like 95% of women I know dated an older guy when they were young. Bums me out. Def one of those fun perspective things where you realize he wasn't dating you because you were so cool and mature, but cause women his own age knew better than to put up with his bs. my ex is dating a dude that's 10 years older than her, she was 20 when they started dating. It's really gross and fucked up too cuz they had done stuff when she was 16/17 and he was 26/27. that's inexcusable and wrong on his part.

So I'm super into this girl that I work with, we've made out a few times and we text every night. She's from Honduras and dosent speak English, so we use a text translator. She's very hard to read, plus she's very gorgeous so every other guy at my job hits on her hard. I hate being so jelouse it seriously makes me feel ill, we arnt even official so I can't do anything about it. I just can't help but feel I twist in my gut when I see her smile at somebody else. I've never been like this I feel like I'm going crazy, I feel like I'm high-school me all over agian. I got way to attached way too fast. I'm sprung!!

if it makes you feel better, fiancée and I started dating when we were 16/17 and we now have a family together, so it can work if you really want it to.

 

My two best friends just got engaged at 25. They've been together since they were 16, so don't get into that mindset.
It might work out and last, it might not. Don't think like that, just enjoy the relationship as it happens!
