I think you just misinterpreted the very real problem of people getting their first shot and then letting their guard down/not continuing to mask/social distance/etc in the weeks between shots and the month or so after the 2nd. There’s a lot of worry about that from what I have read

 

I have to imagine as a grocery worker I’ll be in group 1b? Haven’t done much research but I’m fucking ready. Gimme that needle!

I had to send out a msg to our providers and they need to fill out a form whether they're getting it or not. I immediately got 4 messages back "Do I have to?" "Mandatory?" I was like good lord, I can barely get people to show up for training consistently, how do you think we can force you to get this? I do think our board will pass something making anyone sign a waiver like we already have to do with the Hep-B series (we legally have to offer it but they dont have to get it)

 

It’s been a fucking month now and we’re still dealing with this

Thankfully, we got two other vaccines candidates, and the Moderna one especially I think is the better of the two, as it doesn't need to be chilled quite as low as the Pfizer one. Will depend though on how many doses the US has secured

 

Love to say this is fine and prosecute nothing and change nothing, also while being told we can't afford to help the millions of newly homeless people in this country. Government really working rn.
