Stable Song is a gorgeous closing song. The final lyrics gut me.

I also like it, but on an album full of songs I love, it stands out as a weaker cut. And I do think the lyrics are an even meaner Tiny Vessels, which doesn't help.

Its toward the bottom of the album for me but its not one of the couple I just straight up don't like.

I don't think the lyrics to that song are mean at all, I think it's a lovely sentiment in a way.

Can someone please enlighten me on the point of releasing demos as part of an actual release? I get that it's a fun thing for fans as b-sides...but for a comp like this and for other random releases, especially before the actual song is released, what's the point?? Why not finish the track before sharing? I don't get it.

I think you are overthinking it, there's no reason NOT to release a demo. Don't search for "the point" of it. They wanted to release the song, so they did, the end

or it could be a low-key way to generate buzz about a future project. did we know he was working with them already?

  13. Could also just be a demo they aren't planning on returning to.

Ben’s confident yet modest self awareness in that press statement is aspirational haha

Ben Gibbard seems like a cool dude. He looks 10 years younger now than he did when I first started listening to DCFC 16 years ago - his experiences with trail running are really inspiring and you can just tell he lives a healthy life. And he always has this articulate confident demeanor and seems very humble about his music and the success its brought him. You love to see it.
