Now driving is something I absolutely love doing, no matter where I'm going, so I'd like to think I wouldn't want to give that up. Then again, the idea of being driven around to wherever I say I want to go is pretty appealing too

 

I hate cooking so much lol

 

I think Trump is the most relatable cuz he’s deep in debt like the rest of us.

 

I've reached a point where I'm tired of eating the same crappy, often frozen, meals and have started making a bunch of home-cooked meals. My family was like "wow I never imagined you'd be the one to enjoy cooking!".

Nah, I'm swearing left and right the whole time out of frustration xD

 

The thing with cooking/grocery shopping is if you are not stringent about your food waste/eating your leftovers then it really reduces how much you are saving versus eating out. I like to cook myself but those two things are really key to making it more economical. Trying to cut down on food waste has been a big thing for me and I still really struggle with it. Just life comes up and I forget about a vegetable or something I was going to make and then it goes bad.

Also utilizing your left overs when you eat out, helps reduce waste and makes them more economical.

 

can confirm. My darling husband does all the cooking. I am not good at it. Besides putting together like veggie grill packets where it doesn’t matter, I’m out. We are far from rich

 

I love cooking but I hate cleaning up so I guess what I would really want if I were rich is someone to empty and load the dishwasher, clean the stuff that can't go in the dishwasher, and take out the trash lol

That said, would also love to be able to afford to get takeout for every meal just because I love getting takeout/going out to eat.

 

I'm a clean freak and I like things a very particular way so my wife and I have it worked out that she cooks and I do all the cleaning

basically me and my girlfriend. I do some cooking but all the clean up because I’m so particular about the kitchen being clean from working in restaurants.

 

I clean dishes immediately after finishing a meal. I never let anything sit out or in the sink uncleaned

 

I'm either really bad at cooking or time management (or both), but every time I cook it takes about twice as long as the recipe says it's going to take and then my entire night is gone.

 

It's sooo much worse to wait. I try to clean while cooking if I can.

 

We both hate cleaning here haha. We're not dirty people or anything, but we just have so much clutter in our tiny apartment. Partly why we haven't put up the Christmas tree yet because we need to figure out how we're gonna move things around heh

 

I always clean my dishes right after a meal; I literally can't remember the last time I ever used a dishwasher, even though we have one in my house

We have a small apartment too and we have to declutter weekly to make it work. Feels like the apartment blows up daily!

We're both counting down til the day we have a washer/dryer combo and a dishwasher...will be life changing.

 

I have wayyy to much anxiety when I'm cooking for other people to cook regularly. I love to eat and I hate it if I wait for food and it ends up tasting bad. So, the entire time I'm cooking I have to do everything perfectly because I don't want to ruin anyone's meal and it ends up taking me forever. The worst part is if I could get over that anxiety I would love to cook. I used to enjoy it when I was just cooking for myself. Turn on some tunes, have a beer, and just have a good time.

On a side note, I get so jealous when I watch my wife cook because she just throws shit together and it tastes amazing. Me on the other hand has to perfectly measure every ingredient out or I will have a panic attack. It's funny when I do get the courage to cook because I'll ask her a question about something and she will say things like throw a "dash" or a "little bit" or "a lot" of an ingredient into the mix and I have to remind her I need specifics (I know she does that shit on purpose lol).

 

It's so funny how polarizing cooking is. Some people absolutely loathe it and find it stressful, whereas others like myself think it relaxing and destressing. My wife thinks I'm crazy that even if I get home from work late (say 8pm) what I often want to do to relax, is throw on an audio book and just start cooking (normally something absurd that isn't ready till 930). Just opening the fridge and cabinets and concocting some way to combine the ingredients is a pleasing activity to me.

 

I secretly love washing dishes and cleaning up after a meal because it gives me some extra podcast and YouTube time.

 

I luckily have a dishwasher after not having one at my previous place, but fuuck yeah I wish I had laundry. I've been scared to go to the laundromat during the pandemic so I've just been doing massive loads at my mom's every 3 weeks or so. Sometimes I just wash some smaller things in the bath tub and air dry on our drying rack

 

We both also hate cleaning and it was hard enough to find time during the school year to do it before, but now with a toddler it's almost impossible. If people saw our kitchen right now they would absolutely think we are dirty people lol. My wife is the bigger offender there though because she'll leave plates on the counter instead of at least putting them in the sink and running water on them or rinsing them. But she does a lot of other shit incuding actually doing the dishes so she gets a free pass. But I also yell at her because she legit cleans, like really cleans, the dishes before she puts them in the dishwasher and I'm like dude you're giving yourself way too much extra work here.

She cooks most of our stuff but there's a few things that we cook that are my responsibility. Whenever we do steak I'm the one reponsbile for cutting the onion and seasoning the steak and etc. And I do the grilling as well, though we don't grill a ton because i"m frankly not a fan of grilled chicken, or really anything that isn't red meat, and I don't want to eat red meat THAT often lol

 

lmao this is me when I'm trying to make jambalaya. I've got like 3 different recipies saved and I sort of mix mash them together to get the taste I want but I need like EXACT measurements of all the spices and shit
