Yeah there's no direct payments, it still has the protection for businesses to prevent them from litigation for sending employees back to work (that the Dems initially said was a non starter) and is about a trillion dollars less than the one prior to the election

 

Truly impressive that Pelosi and Schumer are going to roll over for the Republicans yet again. Not demanding a second wave of stimulus checks at minimum before any "deal" can be struck is just peak Dem uselessness.

 

Dems are going to need the Republicans to not show up just to come close, even if this rigged election don't show up narrative works, we would need a massive Dem turnout

Don't want to get comfortable after how many races were supposed to be safe for Democrats ended up being losers

Obviously the quoted person is dumb, but I have a legit question about how Elliot’s sexual preference is categorized now. I never really thought about it before, but if he is into women as he was when he still identified as a woman, is he a straight, transgendered man? Do trans men who previously identified as lesbian typically refer to themselves as straight after coming out as trans? I assume yes since straight and cisgender are usually separated when describing cis hetero men but don’t know if I’ve ever actually seen it said anywhere before.

I saw them say that about loving being queer but wasn’t sure if that was meant to be how he identified sexual preference or what. I’m not as up to date on how queer is used in the community but basically he’s saying “I identify as a queer trans man”?

I'm not sure if that is reflective of wider norms, but just like I wouldn't go up to a random person and ask what their sexuality is... do we really need to know or put a label on it?

 

Yeah I don’t think I’d ask Elliot himself haha, I just saw the news yesterday and then saw that dunk tweet on the TERF and it made me realize that I didn’t know what the generally accepted way it was dealt with/what the correct terms were and etc. I appreciate this thread for clearing it up somewhat!
