A local hospital here says that over 100 employees are out of work because they have covid. They blamed it on “several colleagues socializing outside of work and unknowingly exposed both colleagues and patients”.

According to what I have seen people say the hospital doesn’t have routine testing for its employees and they have also been too lax with allowing visitors in the hospital, I’m sure that has something to do with the outbreak.

 

My last post today on the subject but I found this was a remarkably succinct way of explaining why Obama’s remarks didn’t quite hit the mark:

I have no basis for this as nothing matters anymore and nobody knows anything, but I think Trump may announce his plans to run in 2024 on inauguration day or soon after, but he has absolutely no desire to actually do it, and when the time comes (if he's still alive or not in jail) he will not actually run. It's all about the grift baby.

 

I still think his heart is going to give out before 2024. Didn't they cover up him having a stroke in office? I swore I read that, but maybe it was some weirdo resistance Twitter.

 

Yeah I think the chances of him running again in four years is pretty slim, especially if any of these 834 lawsuits actually, for once, catches up with him

Thanks guys. I was able to get like an extra three hours since the post just from sheer exhaustion lol. Feeling okay since I woke up but I had a bunch of stockpiled PTO so i’m gonna take the rest of the week off to try to reset.

Dang, yeah that sounds pretty intense. My primary care doctor is, at all times, booked two months in advance. I haven’t needed a therapist since moving here two years ago but i might look for a virtual consultation with the provider. Thanks for the idea haha

Yeah, this is the weirdest part. Ive had anxiety in the past but it’s always attached to something specific so, while it’s unpleasant, i know how to get rid of it eventually. This is just generalized. I wouldn’t say it’s anything particularly “bad,” i just can’t turn off. Like dumb shit about thinking about the drum sounds of an album at like 2:30am when my body is like SHUT THE FUCK UP SO WE CAN SLEEP lol.

Yeah, i have a w**d pen, so i might give that a try tonight. Every now and then it makes me grind my teeth when i sleep, but usually it’s pretty decent.

 

If Trump is healthy enough (that's obviously a big "if") I don't see how they'll be able to prevent him from running again at this point. He definitely was only running as a grift in 2016 but now after four years in office he's too much of a narcissist to not love he power he wields as president and the adoration he gets showered with on the campaign trail. Plus he's going to have to prove to everyone he's not loser.

Granted, at 78 he's going to be in pretty bad shape most likely, so this whole conversation will probably be moot by 2024.
