craziest thing is that if the IA02 numbers are right, this wouldn't be the closest congressional race...

more proof to me that we need to move away from direct election of representatives and just use a proportional system. its very weird how getting 80% of the vote is just as good as getting 50.01%

Teddy Roosevelt famously despised the moderation of the Republican Party after he left office so much that he literally started a new party called the Progressive Party, and was the most successful 3rd party candidate to run since the 2 party system became dominated by Republicans and Democrats.
