Found out this week that when the grocery store I work at said they’d start metering this weekend for Thanksgiving week, they didn’t mean “keep track of how many people are in the store and only let in people when an equal amount have left” they actually meant they’re just taking a twenty second pause between letting each group in. And they’re calling it “greetering.” And they still won’t enforce mask policy so I have to deal with customers unable to properly distance and without masks asking me questions and complaining when we don’t have shit. And it’s cute day in and day out being made to feel that I’m completely disposable and they do not care for our safety. This on top of my partners family still doing thanksgiving despite the fact that half of them aren’t quarantining at all (we’re both not going) has got me absolutely overwhelmed mentally.
