Testing lines in NYC have gotten depressingly long. People outside of urgent cares in the colder weather for hours. Feeling immensely grateful for the millionth time this year I have health insurance; I’ve been getting tested by appointment at my PCP.

my entire immediate family (including my one grandma) and now a few of my cousins (in PA and OH) have had it. Immensely nerve wracking but thankfully they have all been mild or flu-like. Sending thoughts to y’all who are going through it yourselves or have loved ones who are.

 

Is wild that we’re essentially in the best case scenario at this point. Trump not doing too much insane shit yet, just firing essential people and ignoring a historically deadly virus. If he won outright, we’d be in the same situation with no end in sight.

 

the best case scenario would be him being, not even a decent person, but a mediocre person who listened to health experts even one time and put out a mask mandate. but i get your point, yes haha

Its crazy to me, and we've had exactly the same thing in England, leaders saying "woah, its getting pretty bad out there, we'd better do something about it in a fortnight".

Per this, it's the 16th largest margin by vote count amount. Nixon won by almost 18 million votes in 1972.

 

A lot of the elections should have a major asterisk though due to women not having the franchise until 1932 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965... it's not really comparable.

It is crazy to see the 1880 vote was decided by a margin of 1,898 votes.
