I'm grasping at straws right now. I'm DYING for song structure and hooks song ala Swim Good, Pink Matter, Lost, Monks.

 

Self Control is next fucking level

 

Overall I enjoyed it but wish it had some more upbeat/uptempo songs. It's a long album with a lot of slower songs.

 

Album didn't feel long to me at all

 

Not finished yet but it's kind of dragging for me, ha. Not really feeling much of it. Solo (Reprise) is easily my favourite thing on here so far.

what a fucking masterpiece

honestly one of the most inspiring projects I've ever heard, so ambitious, so clearly didn't give a fuck about peoples expectations. got the same feeling I got when I first heard to pimp a butterfly where the only thing I could think was "wow.... people could write essays or teach a whole class just on this"

the fact that practically none of the album relies on drums or rhythm and all the changes are purely textural or melodic is so refreshing in this time.

Can't wait to hear the other versions and read the lyrics.

 

This is no where near as good or as important as TPAB
