First half of the article I thought "oh he had good intentions but used an out dated term, that's a shame". But then you get further on and you wonder what the hell persuaded him to say this stuff. The things about south east asian people, gay players and non-male players is absolutely mad.

Yeah, from what I've seen he's always been a bit of a dinosaur. To undermine every equality campaign the FA had going in one fell swoop. Almost impressive.

 

I want to know how he managed such a clean sweep in such a short space of time. It's pretty impressive to offend that many different sections of society in a single afternoon, whilst talking about football.

That's probably the best US team I've seen on paper, not that it's much of an achievement I guess as previous team had a lot of journeymen in it. I definitely think that's a good last 16 quality team at a WC, give or take depending on injuries, tactics, luck, etc.

Most of the CB pool is US-based and they only called up Euro-based players for this camp, I believe.

 

Yeah between COVID related travel restrictions and MLS playoffs they just kept it to Euro-based players. Kinda hope they do an MLS run after the season so the coaching staff can evaluate evenly.
