Georgia plans a recount. History shows it rarely makes a difference.

 

Worst part of this, is republicans will continue to face zero negative repercussions from their refusal to accept the election results.

 

The irony of course through all of this is that the USPS actually did probably have an affect on depressing votes in multiple states. Probably should be a bigger Biden win.

 

Thank you. Honestly, those numbers are even smaller than I had been thinking. Everything I could find was more people talking about them anecdotally and largely devoid of hard data.

 

My manager today after the vaccine news: “SEE I TOLD YOU the vaccine would disappear right after the election!!”

Wait, how is undermining the integrity of elections supposed to help with elections? Won't that just make republican voters trust them less and not turn out to vote? Isn't that exactly what happened with mail-in voting?

Not that I'm mad, but how stupid can you be?

"Of the 4,687 statewide general elections held from 2000 to 2015, 27 were followed by a recount, and only three resulted in a change of outcome from the original count" (source: the always true Wikipedia). In the three recounts that made a difference, the candidates each gained less than 1k votes.

• A 2006 Vermont general election for Auditor of Accounts was overturned an 800 vote lead into a 102 vote loss for the Republican candidate.
• The 2004 Washington governors race flipped based 919 votes being added to the Dem candidate for the W.
• The 2008 US Senate election in Minnesota is probably the most well-known example of a recount flip. Al Franken was losing by 215 after the initial counting. He won by a little over 300 votes after a recount.

 

We should start calling it the "Biden COVID vaccine".

 

I find all of this desperation from trump hilarious, but I also wish he’d let it go so people would as well.

It's nothing. He's pissed off and lashing out like a little baby the only way he knows how, by getting rid of the people that others probably told him he couldn't fire all year.

 

How the Democrats handle this messaging is going to let us know exactly how the next 4 years is gonna look.

Dems need to be on TV every day asking that question...and I have almost no faith that it will happen
