Sometimes it feels like Arteta plays everything so intricately that it stops the front three from performing. We were woeful going forwards tonight.

I dont really know what Saka's role was tonight either but we were dying for another option in midfield to try and control the game (obviously Partey coming off robbed us of that).

Willian has done absolutely nothing since joining, and I have no clue why Arteta is sticking with him so relentlessly. Arteta's worse game since coming in for sure.

Valencia beating Real Madrid is not just an incredible lift for Valencia, who are a real mess behind the scenes. It's also potentially huge in the title race. Atletico are a point ahead of Real with a game in hand. I expect all the big three (and Sevilla) to drop a lot of points this season (which is why I won't yet rule out Barcelona who are 6 pts behind) but that's a big early development.
