Biden basically giving his victory speech here rather than just being like "gotta wait one more day" is a bit surprising, but I think its a good move

 

As long as this dude has wanted to be president, he's gotta be privately seething. Failed campaigns, almost a decade spent as the #2, telling his dying son that he would run....and now they won't fucking call it

There needs to be a hard discussion about the media and their sensationalism. This is beyond ridiculous, people are watching this shit and forming the mentality that it’s okay to think that there’s something being hidden or that the election is stolen. Fuck ratings, do your damn jobs and go home, this has gone long enough.

 

I wouldn’t be surprised if they scramble to put a statement together tonight after Biden just said “we expect to win this race.” He isn’t going to want to let that lie.

I liked the speech. He's not the most articulate speaker, but he shows empathy. The world can always use more of that.

While I’m seething, I’m listening to the Lions Led By Donkeys podcast episode about the assassination of James Garfield and goddamn, that poor, poor man. He got fucked by the sheer ineptitude of 1800’s medicine. Also, great podcast if you’re into history, it’s hosted by leftist ex and current military dudes.
