  2. Watched My Bloody Valentine 3D last night (the first R-rated movie I ever saw in theaters) and I am SHOCKED at how well it holds up. A little convoluted, but the body count is high and the kills are extremely strong. Almost as fun as the original. I think it's one of the best remakes of the 2000s.

  8. Has anyone here seen Forbidden World, Humanoids of the Deep, The Driller Killer, or Trilogy of Terror? I'd like to watch something older tonight, but I can't figure out what I'm in the mood for.

Any 80s slasher/horror-comedy recs on streaming?

  11. Love Behind the Mask and the Sleepaway Camp flicks, and I've always wanted to see the Ghoulies movies.

That's a great list! Might try Trilogy of Terror and the Henry episode of the Last Drive In, don't think I finished that one.

I have almost watched Humanoids of the Deep like 6x now. Haven’t seen any of those but what about The Mutilator or The Prowler or Blood Rage?

Henry is fucked. Ghoulies III is the only one I’ve seen, exactly what you expect based off of the name. A ton of fun

  14. Mutilator's been on my list for a bit too. One more question for tonight, anyone seen The Mortuary Collection or Bad Hair yet?

Mortuary Collection was fun. I honestly may have liked Scare Package (at least 1-2 of them) better

  17. Wound up going with Humanoids From the Deep and The Driller Killer, both of which were solid, the former as a sleazy schlocky creature feature and the latter as a surreal proto-slasher.

The Mortuary Collection was fine. A little hit and miss on the segments for me but overall it was a good time, especially Clancy Brown and the main framing story. I got major Creepshow (series) and Sabrina vibes from it. Would be a cool format to continue in with sequels.

  19. I'm rewatching Child's Play (2019) and I still think this is so much better than the It remakes and other recent high-profile horror flicks. Still very funny, very gruesome, and just easy to watch at 90 minutes.

    Might rewatch Overlord next.

I thoroughly enjoyed It part 1 but could barely finish the second.

  21. I enjoyed both It remakes for what they were, but the further I get away from them, the more they feel like Marvel horror movies or something. Tough to describe. They just have a blockbuster self-importance to them that is lacking in Child's Play. It's personal preference though, I prefer something short and sweet and not filled with CGI to a lot of event horror kind of stuff.
