I slept like a baby from midnight til 6 but now I have to get up in a half hour so it’s doomscroll time let’s get it

 

How votes came in really did make the night weird af especially if they pull out GA.

Yeah even if Biden wins it’s a disaster without the senate. And it only guarantees whoever follows Trump on the GOP side in 2024 will be worse.

 

it’s why the doomscrolling is so counterproductive. why give yourself ulcers for something that will ultimately end up positive

Was just talking to my wife about this. The electoral count could end up being very similar to 2016 which i don’t think anyone refers to as close but yet we are talking about 2020 like it’s the biggest nail biter (and it definitely feels that way). But really feels engineered to be a photo finish based on how WI, MI and PA are allowed to count votes. Any of these report earlier and the doom isn’t as prolonged and we breathe easier sooner.

 

Not getting the senate really fucking sucks. But Biden winning will mean scientists are in control of COVID again. That’s huge. We definitely have the SC pressing issue, but I couldn’t handle another 4 years of this disbelief from the very top.

Count me along those who may have despaired too early. I knew it could look super red, but I still let my emotions override logic. I blame my 2 year old and worrying if there will still be a planet for her.

 

I’m trying not to get too high or too low. I feel good about Biden’s chances at the moment but not overconfident. Definitely don’t feel good about the senate and that sucks. I just can’t get over how vile so much of the country is.
Work today is going to suck.

 

I fell asleep at like 930pm EST pretty depressed...woke up at 4:40AM and have been glued to my phone ever since...is this really going to happen?!?!

I can’t imagine going through the day while also working. Well planned dentist visit for my kid. 4 years ago I remember it being absolute hell to have to pretend to give a shit about teaching long division.
