I dislike Krugman and I feel bad for people in Kansas, but it is fitting that the application of conservative economics is destroying that state. I have a feeling it will become much more liberal after this.

I don't like this response. It has a whiff of respectability politics. It comes off as saying, "we aren't all poor, you know!" And there is a tacit acceptance that this is true for poor black folk, but it doesn't matter, because there is, in fact, a black middle class to which those things don't apply.

 

This seems good to me.

 

Steve Bannon takes over as Trumps Chief Executive...whatever they're calling it. Andrew Breitbart, the founder of breitbart.com, who passed away a few years ago, once compared Bannon, I guess favorably to a famous Nazi propagandist. The website, has called Bill Crystal a 'renegade Jew,' accused Obama of importing hating Muslims, told female victims of online harassment to 'just log off' and 'stop screwing up the internet for men,' compared planned parenthood's work to the holocaust, highlights the work of a guy who says Hispanics have lower IQ's than non Hispanic whites, ran a very long story praising white supremesists by a guy who's been banned from Twitter...and ran the following headlines: "There's no hiring bias toward hiring women in tech, They just suck at interviews," "Political Correctness protects Muslim Rape Culture,"Gabby Gifford: the gun control movements human shield," "Birth Control makes women unattractive and crazy,"Would you rather your child have feminism or Cancer?"

These are headlines from the man who is running Trumps campaign now...

They're letting Trump be Trump. I genuinely believe Trump thinks doubling down on the most reactionary elements of society will yield him a victory. The problem, however, is systemic misogyny, racism, homophobia, transmisogyny, works best as part of a structure that isn't overt. That isn't to say he isn't helping make that not the case.

 

Do you think it is because most white people are Christians and celebrate the eating of their saviors body that they are being cannibalistic?

 

It's a fundamental tenet of their take no prisoners, violent gospel. There's no other possible explanation. Convert or be eaten.
