New Like Moths album is v good

not sure if this one ever got posted, but I am STOKED for this record to finally drop...

 

-The new Carcass EP is pretty damn great. It's a perfect continuation of Surgical Steel. I didn't expect them to go as mid-tempo as they did, but the sound works as long as they don't go full Swansong. Excited to see what the album brings to us next year.

-Like I already mentioned, Bleeding Out's new LP is a nice 18 minute ripper of a deathgrind album. Here's hoping we get some touring out of them once things get back to normal.

-Digging the new Botanist album. Apparently the hammered dulcimer is too metal for the Metal Archives.

Best and most slept on band in that scene. Funny thing, I started listening to them because of an interview they did on absolutepunk. I don’t remember who did the interviews with heavier bands, but I want to say it was a guy named Jake? Either way, it led to me revisiting them and downloading An Eye For An Eye, leading to them becoming my favorite Rise records style core band.

I haven’t listened to more than the singles yet, but I’m listening from the start of the album now and I love it so far. I’m assuming they are dropping the Dark Divine style in favor of their signature sound? Interesting that they did such a major shift just to shift back

 

There is a metalcore thread! Not saying the album isn’t good but I feel like you could garner more for discussion there.

 

maybe - I honestly wasn't sure where to talk about it, but I saw someone post about them in here so I jumped on it. I am sure that's annoying to the regulars in this thread, I just was excited to see someone else hype over it so I responded with my feelings about them.

One of my favorite shows was Giant Squid, Botanist, and Cormorant. The hammered dulcimer and 12 string bass and ritual robes are something to behold.

 

Man this album still goes

 

My group of friends growing up always referenced them as this or “B T Bam.”
