They’re out of reasons that even feign legitimacy at this point. They just really don’t want votes to be counted. More of an attack on our democracy than any foreign country, let’s bomb the Texas GOP

 

They usually start basically immediately. It’s just that there’s a delay between when the justices take on a case and when they issue a ruling on it. Idk how quick the turn-around is for all of these election related cases are, but I would assume a couple of days if not at least a week. For a normal case it takes over a month between the oral argument and the decision. That’s why we will have weeks where it seems like they are handing down one big ruling after another - because they heard all those arguments relatively close to each other

cynic in me definitely thinks this is because they know Roberts will vote to uphold the PA ruling and so they need Barrett to make it 5-4

what is his angle here? Like, media already holds off on calling races until polls close unless a specific part of the state extends voting hours due to long lines. Which generally favors the dems. Is this just "pretending to care about election integrity by supporting something everyone already does, so that people won't notice your attempts to destroy election integrity elesewhere"?

The Texas AG asking the 5th circuit to invalidate the mandate that poll workers and voters wear masks because it will force those that don't want to wear a mask to decided between voting or wearing a mask.

Evidently, in Texas it is preferable to force people to decide between risking their own health and that of their family or voting.
