In other news I am trying really hard not to get ahead of myself. I have a problem with that. But I hung out with cute boy again and I really like him and am excited to see where it goes. We have a date to watch the fault in our stars which is, like, the way to my heart so I'm pretty stoked haha

 

I've been offered a more interesting job in a much more interesting city. This is where I find out whether Cambridge is my dating kryptonite, or whether I am the unlovable creature I sometimes think I may be.

It's not clear from the above, but I am super fucking excited.

In all of my 1 real girlfriends, none were really jealous. I can handle that burden!

 

My first girlfriend was the only one I've had who was jealous, but she also struggled with mental health in general and high school me had no idea how to handle that. My current girlfriend is pretty much the opposite of jealous

 

Honestly, my jealousy got less intense the older I got. I look back and I was batshit cray sometimes.

 

My ex was pretty jealous. She didn't like that I had had relationships, sexual or otherwise, with ninety percent of the people in my wedding party. But, usually, jealousy was frowned upon in the circles I ran in. It was addressed, but if it became an issue, it typically lead to them not being a part of my life/our scene.

 

why do woman have play games like i'm talking to this chick i saw on pof a long time ago added her on facebook so i began talking to her again then she said do you have snapchat so we started snaping back and forth SHE said that we should meet sometime then she went a music festival so we didn't talk for a couple days then she gave me her number then i texted her she said she would text me back but it has been a couple days she hasn't responded but we matched on tinder so idk what is going on

 

She's busy, probably. Anything more than 5-7 days, I'd send a hey, just checking in type text. if she doesn't respond to that, move on.

 

I have no time for jealousy. At least like intense jealousy. I had an ex that went all kinds of overboard on that and it was to the point where like our entire relationship was me constantly reassuring him about the same things everyday and it was too exhausting. it got to a controlling point and constant fights about the same unfounded jealousy bs and was toxic. Now if people are super jealous I'm just over it. We're both adults let's act like it

 

Complete disinterest. People only play games when they're not interested in someone. She's probably talking to a ton of guys and snaps or texts one of you when she's not getting enough attention tbh

I used to worry sooo much about cheating etc and now I'm like lmao if you cheat on me you're actually stupid so boy bye and don't give a fuck.

I think it also depends on who you're dating too tho, like as I've aged I have definitely dated more trustworthy people than I used to which helps!

 

I have always felt that, if people are going to cheat, they're going to cheat regardless of any action one may take, so there is no point in worrying about it. Texting a lot, seeing who they are friends with on Facebook, etc., won't stop anyone. I mean, one only really needs a thirty minute window to betray established trust.

 

Right and like honestly if you have to set up measures to prevent your partner from cheating, whether it be not allowing them to befriend certain ppl or text certain genders or go to a party like what is your relationship even? If the only thing preventing them from cheating is me looking over their shoulder then bye
