I was trying to describe myself to someone

I didn't realise this until just now, but Newcastle's game at the weekend was one of the pay per view ones. As a protest, Newcastle fans instead donated £15 to a local food bank instead. They raised £19000. I can't remember when I last felt anything positive about this club. I'm so confused.

That's also against the back drop of the club not refunding season tickets... Unsure if that's been a general problem across the league or not. Anyone know?

Maybe a little off topic, but I'm a little disappointed that United aren't doing more to support Rashford's child hunger campaign. I know it's Rashford's thing, but you'd think the club would have been a little more prominent in coming out in support of him, or even making public donations or something. For a club that cares so much about PR, you'd think they'd be right on it.

Liverpool did exactly that yesterday, making donations and covering meal costs in their area, so it's a shame United are being so quiet about it. I understand that they don't want to be seen to be making a political point, but children starving shouldn't be political. They should be using their brand to help the campaign in any way they can.

so Facundo Pellestri, Rojo, and Brandon Williams are all set to play in our u23s game this evening. However, because they're first team players they have to be in a separate bubble. So they can't go on the same bus, or use the same dressing room as the u23s. However they can play football with them, which is a close contact sport. Where is the logic in that? I get that football is outdoors, but you're still very close to other team members on the pitch, especially at corners and the like.

Marcus Rashford is one of the most likeable people on the planet.

I just really, really, really hope his past is absolutely squeaky clean. Not that I have any doubt that it isn't. But you just know every single rag paper in the country has teams of people trying to dig up dirt on the nation's current sweetheart. They'll pounce on anything to try and drag him down. Seems to be a sensible young lad with a good head on his shoulders like.

You can tell they would if they could find anything on him; the media is already pushing that Mason Greenwood has been in trouble with United recently for attitude/timekeeping etc, and even though OGS has come out and said he is a great kid with zero issues with attitude or timekeeping they're still going on about it lol. Media second to only gambling/betting companies as the most harmful thing in sport, and the line between the two gets more blurred each day anyway

    It's all hell.

Tories dying on the hill of letting kids starve over the holidays is absolutely incredible and not at all surprising.

Seriously. I cannot say this clearly enough - FUCK the Tories and FUCK BoJo. Add Matt Vickers MP, the slimy git elected in December in the constituency next to mine, to that too.

They should make a Top Trumps of Tory C*nts and give the proceedings to FareShare.

I know for me over here, my RBNY season tickets and subsequent payments were deferred to next season seeing as the only game we could attend was the season opener. I don't recall if I had the option of a refund, but I wouldn't be surprised if premier league teams were doing the same thing.

  11. Villa v Leeds today could be a fun one

A game that is on peacock so NBCSN can show 5 hours of monster jam. Cool.

Got the home and away United jerseys delivered today from China. Can’t believe they want people to pay €80 for jerseys these days.

Maybe the thought is that Rojo is so bad he won’t be near his man.

Just gonna paste when I said on Facebook here regarding the whole Rashford thing...

The sheer volume of people who think children should starve because their parents have lost their jobs or can’t work is hugely depressing.

It feels like certain sections of society have lost all compassion and empathy, and are happy for MP’s to claim £25 each a day for their lunch in parliament, yet claim it is too much to spend just £18 a week on free school meals for starving children.

Marcus Rashford is an inspiration and a credit to his mother. He's making a bigger difference than any of his critics, and is doing more to help disadvantaged people in this country than the whole Conservative party has in their time in power. Frankly, all tories should be ashamed of their actions.

I've got a feeling Leeds will beat Villa.
It should be a great game either way

The worst is when people try and argue that kids shouldn't get meals as "their parents spend their benefits on iPhones" and that sorta thing. Like yes, parents can be shitty. Let's starve their kids as punishment. These kids don't choose to be in this situation and can't get out themselves. So even if it does mean shitty parents or parents with addiction problems (as again is often argued) using the scheme, if it means a voucher being claimed and a kid getting a meal, then who fucking cares?

Fairly impressive hattrick there for Bamford. 2 quality goals. Could have had 5 to be fair.

That second half was Bielsa-ball at it's relentless best. Villa didn't get a look in except for that moment of individual brilliance from Grealish.

It was suffocating. It's really incredible to me that Bielsa is managing to do that with sub-par players. To go to the Championship and still instill that philosophy. The whole game you're watching and thinking, if only Bamford was a world class striker.

    Harrison looks quality like.
