lot of apps haven't been updated yet to the new resolution, so it's just upscaling iPhone X sized apps to the bigger display size.

The native Apple apps are gorgeous, I found Music looks crazy nice on the 12 Pro. Album art really, really, really pops on this display.

 

Mine shipped to my house but came without a SIM card FYI.

 

I think my speakers might be busted, from like 80% volume on the heavy part Deftones’ Genesis is distorted to all hell. Checked on another phone (an 8) where it sounded comparatively pristine.

Ugh my fiancé just missed the ups guy. Apparently they are requiring signature for iPad. They didn’t for my watch yesterday..

 

Fyi if you create a UPS My Choice account, you can sign a release to leave it at the door with no signature.

I do that for all my orders because I'm in an apartment building with no buzzer

 

I tried to make one but it required a business account? Unless i looked at it wrong

 

Hmm you might be in the wrong area, when I look at my account settings, it says "UPS My Choice for Home membership" at the top, so there should be another option other than business

Updated my blog post after changing up my home screens (again).

My iOS 14 Home Screen

(Yes, I like black and slate colors.)

 

Just picked up my phone, and DAMN it’s going to be hard to use this thing without a case. The flat edges feel terrific to me, and the blue is the most beautiful color I’ve ever seen.

 

Getting my 12 pro set up now. I *think* I made the right decision to go with the smaller size. Will miss the battery life from the max, but we will see.

Am i being daft with shortcuts? I created one that was designed to send a text to my partner when i leave one of my places of work and send her my ETA. It seems to all work, except it keeps asking for permission to run (which by this point i am driving). Is there a way to just have it run without asking me?

 

From the automation, at the bottom there’s a “Ask Before Running” toggle in iOS 14.1 if it’s available for the action, I’m not sure if “leave/enter” is one of those that it’s active for:

Which color? I’ve been looking at those cases but can’t decide on one. I thought I wanted a clear case to show off the blue color but I really don’t like the look and feel of any of the clear ones.

 

Where do people find these custom icons? Like I find a bunch for the same basic 20 apps but what’s the point of all the work if I can’t get an icon for every app on my Home Screen.
