first new album in over a year, which is a large gap for them. Also a live album coming out the same day.

Straws In The Wind sucks shit, but the other songs are tight so far.

it's up on bandcamp, on Spotify tomorrow (or today if you're Aus). Haven't listened to the full thing yet but hearing really good things

 

All that I’ll say is even though they’ve said this album is just the best parts of Gizz in one album, there are still a ton of surprises. Especially in the back half.

I'm digging it. Intrasport is wild. I still think they should've cut Straws In The Wind, that's the one dud for me.

I’m really liking this one. Good stuff here.

 

Love the Doomy bits on The Hungry Wolf of Fate. Can't say I've ever heard microtonal doom.

This album is so good, Oddlife is quickly becoming one of my favorite King Gizzard songs. The transition from Intrasport is fucking seamless.

I’ve really been feeling Straws in the Wind lately. I love Ambrose songs and that guitar break is so cool

 

New album is out

 

It’s solid! Excited to listen on my good headphones after work. The drumming really stands out to me on this one.

 

L.W. is another solid album. Are these two supposed to be related, almost like a double album?

 

Yeah they are! Technically part of a trilogy with Flying Microtonal Banana. I’d love for them to do an acoustic microtonal album at some point. Straws in the Wind, Honey, Static Electricity, and East West Link are all so good.
