It’s awesome, but man, with all those COVID cases coming out of The Gathering, I’m getting the anxiety sweats about it.

Gotta say I think the G1 unraveled a bit in the last few days. Final had no heat in it. B block had no real stories throughout bar Evil doing Evil things and the best A block stories didn’t involve Ibushi. Weird end to a pretty good tournament.

 

my match of this years g1 had to be sanada beating naito. the match itself was great, but it's the little things: naito kind of rushing to get undressed, sanada countering naito's pose, the post match where sanada wants the fist bump with me as a viewer knowing the last person that tried this was evil turning on naito... and the aftermath with takahashi helping sanada win his match, but not helping naito in the same night. lij's inplosion is only goin to get worse, and i'll all for it.

Now I know why everyone was speculating on aj, he was just getting wrecked during something like 80% of that riddle match. It makes a lot of sense why they gave him a bodyguard.
