True. I’ll stick with Pol Pot then because he’s just as inept and has killed as many people due to sheer stupidity/ignorance and incompetence.

It would be great to make "voting season" a thing. Obviously voters are fired up this election, but I wonder how much the difference in turnout this year can be attributed to so much more money being spent on telling people how to vote early. These Texas numbers are insane.

yeah it shows how arbitrary it all is like apparently we can vote in October and just a random Tuesday in November , no reason we shouldn't always have early voting

 

Let’s go

 

Learn from the west coast. Get rid of polling sites all together. Just mail everyone their ballots a month before the election, include prepaid postage for the return so people can drop it in the mail.

No need for election day to be a national holiday. No need for people to stand in line three hours even when voting early. This is a solved problem but one side is so all in on preventing people from having their voice heard that we as a country can't actually see the solution that is sitting right in front of us.

 

There would need to be a solution for houseless individuals, but yes, agreed.

How to vote if you're homeless

In WA, homeless people can use a shelter as a mailing address. System could probably be better — a place where you can pick up your ballot would be great — but overall I think it’s the right framework
