Today has the most beautiful fall weather so I put all too well on while I was driving and then happened to notice I was on a street named Swift blvd and I got like dorkishly amused by it all

Coffee mug came in on Friday.

    huge disappointment.

definitely more of an espresso mug than a coffee mug. It’s the fun-size candy bar version of a mug. Sad!

Was in Watch Hill this past weekend, which led me back to this album for the first time in a couple months. I don’t have anything to add that hasn’t been said a million times already, but this is literally the only thing I’ve listened to all week. The storytelling here is just next level. I loved it when it first dropped, and I still do— probably my favorite album from her.

Limited supply of signed Folklore CD's on Tay's website right now for those that want one; just snagged one myself

Sincere question: what value do fans find in signed memorabilia obtained outside of a personal encounter? Buying a signed record on ebay? Buying a cd signed by ts where she was sitting at a table signing cds one at a time as fast as she can?

It's a vague thing I think there's no good answer for; I grabbed my copy to give to a friend of mine, but I assume a lot of people will want to resell them for a higher value, or truly do get a real kick out of having something signed, regardless of when and where it was signed

I used to collect signed CD inserts for a long time, have a few hundred. My favorites are obviously the ones I obtained in person, but I do have some that came with pre-orders as well

  8. I could also see sentimental value in it for fans - a "she touched this" kind of thing. If I ever get her autograph, I'd like it to be because I met her personally but I could see the appeal.

It's just wild to me. I don't want to sound condescending or like a complete asshole. It's just something that I've never understood.

    yeah exactly
personally I'd be too anxious about it depreciating by me touching it lol

I got one 100% for the potential resale. Downside is I’m out $25, upside is my niece and nephew’s college fund. Between this cd, leftover beanie babies, and the baseball cards in my parents basement, these kids are going to be doctors.

My head feels like it’s going to explode this morning because this album is still the best thing ever when I listen to it.

  16. Update: apparently I am getting one of the signed CDs because my angel of a friend surprise-bought me a folklore blanket and the cds are being sent out as an apology for production falling behind

will report back as to whether I do indeed feel sentimental attachment to it once it arrives even though I didn't get the autograph in person, I know better than to think I can predict that with 100% certainty

Is there a piano or acoustic version of clean. I know I can Google but I'm trying to multitask rn!!

like feel free to come for my lack of musical knowledge and terminology but I think it's the production in that song that doesn't really resonate with me. Like those little ping pong sounds

She has played it partially on the piano a few times but other than that, no. I think a video exists of Imogen singing the entire song on the piano if that interests you

She does the first half of it in the Netflix documentary Miss Americana.

  25. My signed cd has arrived and I feel huge sentimentality towards it because based on the signature, Miss Taylor was on her 4th or 5th glass of wine already and I just love that for her
