On dang you're right. I read it backwards on Apple's comparison tool. At least the screen would be bigger.

Right. Best of both worlds, really. Width of the display will be about the same as your 8, but it will be a taller display overall, which is great for content consumption in my opinion because I'd rather have the expanded space vertically for browsing and video streaming for wide-screen content.

I usually get the Max but i'm leaning towards the normal pro this year. I'm on the Apple upgrade every year program and getting the max over and over doesn't feel like getting a new phone. A normal pro would definitely feel like a different phone and 6.1 inches isn't exactly a small phone so I think it would be okay (I have very large hands).

 

Since 12 and Pro are the same size, only real difference is the camera ?

 

The default 12 is only 64GB, where it's 128GB for the Pro. A 128GB iPhone 12 is $850 I believe.

I think I'm getting cold feet on going with the Mini now, since the iPhone 12 is smaller than the iPhone 11 was. I didn't realize that. Feeling like the in-between size might be the right long-term move.

 

Re: leather cases

 

Probably going to trade in my XS Max for the 12 Pro. I dont think i need the extra screen anymore. Side by Side with my wifes 11 is not that big of a difference for the price.

 

So glad they haven't discontinued the leather case, the sillicone picks up too much lint/dust
