@irthesteve I’ll probably get to 49/50 on your list but I ain’t subjecting myself to Sublime.

In my defense, the list of music I actively dislike is shorter than almost anyone I know.

    But Sublime sucks.

I'm sad you feel that way, they were, and still are, one of the only bands to successfully blend the genres they did and Bradley's voice is beautiful

Honestly the post was to say I'm anticipating going through the rest of your list as much as it was to shit on Sublime. Haha

    Oh MAN.

Nether Lands is probably a touch more orchestrated than is your go-to, but I legit envy you getting a first listen if/when that happens.

I like RHCP and Incubus enough. Not great bands, but each have albums worth owning.

Can't imagine being really anti "Otherside" and "Megalomaniac"

Incubus are solid, Morning View and Make Yourself are truly great albums. RCHP has some good stuff but a lot of shit to dig through for it.

Was never big on Incubus but they have solid songs.
Don't wanna defend RHCP because they're full of rapists and assholes.
I feel like Sublime's shitty fanbase makes them worse than the actual band was. They have some absolutely cringe-y shit but Brad was a great singer and they could craft some solid songs. Also the reason I knew who KRS-One was in grade school.

I listened to Gratitudes from Chris’ list as it wasn’t a name I recognised at all. I see it was a Jonah Matranga project / album, and I like him a good amount, so that was a nice surprise. Pretty good second wave emo / punk stuff, like early Jimmy Eat World or Mineral or those sort of bands (Far obviously too). Surprised I hadn’t come across them before, seemed like quite an AP band. Was pretty solid and enjoyable all the way through, a bit similar to my reaction to The Weakerthans, nothing here that really blew me away but was good all the way through for a first listen, and something I’d probably return to later.

For some reason “This is the Part” was not available on Apple Music here, rest of the album was, just not that song, so listened to that on YouTube afterwards.

Incubus put on a great show on their tour with Jimmy Eat World. RHCP is like four extremely talented guys got together and decided to find the worst way to utilize those talents.

Well here is the contender for the worst list(s) on the site. This literally goes back all the way to 4th grade, which was the start of a musical journey that makes no sense. I know some of these albums are objectively bad/not great but I still consider them to be defining in my music journey and I could tell you a story for how I came to listen to each one. Limit one album per artist.
