The ~650GB free space in PS5 and ~8XXGB in xbox series x will be filled so fast.

 

I thought in theory game sizes could be a little smaller this gen due to how they can be...coded with the current software once they start being made for just PS5/Xbox Series? I don’t know if that’s the right terminology there. Think it has something to do with having to have so much redundancy in the coding for this current gen, so game sizes were massive?

It feels like I read that somewhere, but it could have been totally disproven too. I would expect the games that are releasing on all PS4/XB1/PS5/XS will be the games that are larger, if that is all still the case.

 

Yeah this past gen they didn’t compress much at all. Also, a lot of things had to be duplicated in storage like textures and objects being stored like 4x.

in theory this doesn’t have to happen anymore, but with using higher quality textures and stuff, that’s going to eat up more space. Hopefully they try to keep games smaller, but we’ll see lol.

 

Okay I’m glad I’m not crazy haha

I fully expect them to be decent-sized still, but it’d be nice to have a reduction in size for games like Rocket League and stuff like that. Open world/RPG games I’m fine with being large, but Rocket League has no business being one of the largest games on my console lol

I might be wrong on this, but aren’t the Ubi releases going to be next gen versions of the game day 1? The difference with cyberpunk is that you’ll have to buy PS4/XB1 versions of that game, and you’ll eventually get the next gen upgrade for free.

Just finished a shield run in Hades, was definitely my most impressive, didn't feel very OP but really got down with Hades patterns. It was fuckin intense!

finally finished 13 sentinels and its pretty easily one of the best narratives ive ever seen in a game. Biggest surprise of 2020 for me and up there as a front runner for GOTY so far

 

I finished five of the character prologues yesterday and it’s super interesting already
