I've now lost to Hades when he's down under half a bar of his second set four times, and it's weird how, unlike in a lot of other games, I don't get that GAHHWETHETGREHIAFHDKAHF feeling. Just like "Ah! So close. Another run might do it!"

 

I had one time where he had about 5% left in the second phase when I died and I yelled FUCK louder than I ever have in my life, but then I got him the next run and that was the first time killing him. Every other time i've had the same sentiment though.

yeah, keep doing runs haha.

you will get stronger and get better boons and get farther by design. Hades isn’t really a game of skill. Just keep upgrading your char and making sick builds and eventually it’ll happen for you. Have fun is my tip/strat

 

My tip always is to unlock the second dash as soon as you can, the only reason I have decent runs is because I spam the fuck out of the double dashes which obviously allow you to dodge attacks but also get you a lot of backstab damage.

 

Oh yeah, the beauty of the game is that it is a roguelike but it also really isn't. There's a continuing story and you continue getting stronger each time you do a run.
