Based on the way Yoel and Costa both looked frozen, I think Israel is just hard to attack. Like, I’m sure that wasn’t his game plan. But he’s so good in every striking aspect I don’t know how you go forward on him.

 

Izzy looks unstoppable

 

I don’t even know who can compete with Izzy. I think he can break Anderson’s streak if he stays healthy.

 

A Jones vs Adesanya fight would be awesome

It’s almost as if Costa got into his own head with the whole patience thing, didn’t want to gas and ended up not attacking whatsoever.

 

Winner of Whittaker v Cannonier gets next and with the way Izzy’s cleaning out the division, Hermansson v Till needs to happen around the same time to determine the next number one contender.

 

Till-Hermansson is Dec 5. If Hermansson wins I can see him getting the next shot. Till has lost 3 out of 4. I see him needing at least two impressive wins to get a shot, but who knows. The division is super shallow right now due to Izzy dominating all the top guys. Besides Cannonier I think Brunson is the next contender which is not a fight I want to see.

It’s almost like 185 needs Chimaev more than 170 does lol

 

I'd rather see Jones v Israel than Jones v anyone at HW

 

I think Jones is too big for Izzy honestly but I’d still love to see that fight.

 

I’d love to see it but I don’t think Izzy could overcome the size difference.

I did not realise that was already booked haha. You’re right though, Till will need another win if he gets past Hermansson. Only reason he wouldn’t, would be due to lack of other options for Izzy.

 

What a fun card. Jan shocks me for how hard/quick he can punch at 37. The second I saw Dom’s nose fly sideways I figured that was it.

I didn’t expect Costa to have such a rough time getting inside. He waited until Izzy got him frustrated and feeling pain to try and open up, but that’s exactly the fight Izzy wins confidently every time. There was plenty of bad blood and I get feeling hyped after a big win, but telling Costa’s coach he’s gonna “come all over him” because he said they’ll “come back” is probably the most middle school thing I’ve heard a champion say. He’s a great fighter, but he makes it easy to root against him.

 

Izzy's always seemed a bit childish lol.

 

Also, just caught up on the post-fight interviews and Izzy 300% dodged answering about his pec with “why are those guys looking at my titties?” and said nothing else. So while I maybe had the thought in my mind before, I certainly think that hormonal imbalance is definitely some form of PED now.
