I had a free $75 bet at the start of the playoffs and wanted to place it on a team to win the Cup...it was between Tampa and Vegas and Tampa had longer odds (+800) at that point (Hedman's health status was unknown) which is why I went with them

I do hate Kucherov though. He never gets talked about as a dirty player but he is a cheap shot artist.

I should clarify: fine as a hockey fan with either team winning.

As a Bruins fan, Tampa hurts a little just because of the rivalry over the past few years. I don’t begrudge them as a team, though— they’re objectively excellent and only have one or two players (and a coach) I don’t like.

I really like the Tampa story this year - record setting season last year but fully blew it against Columbus - instead of tearing it down, they kept their nose to the grindstone and deserve to be where they are

Also, fuck Dallas completely. Dickbag players, sticking around somehow in games they don't deserve to, 3 goals on 7 shots kinda bullshit over and over again - nothing is more rewarding than seeing them lose in OT with Jamie Benn's dumb confused face sitting in the penalty box

 

I don't really post here much, but I've followed the Lightning most of my life (born and raised in Tampa) and after I watched the first game and they lost, things have kept me from watching the last three which they've won. Now I'm just convinced I can't watch game five... but like, it's potentially the Cup.

 

Let’s not pretend the Tampa players are all flowers and sunshine

 

I'm (softly) rooting for Tampa only because Corey Perry doesn't deserve anything good in life
