im so confused lol

 

Brand New is the inner machination of our minds, an enigma.

 

I dunno. They have been this way since like 2005 or so. I got over it a long time ago. It's clear they are gonna do whatever the hell they want. Accept it and move it. It's peaceful for me this way. If they release an album, awesome. If they don't, I still have all their other music I love.

 

Brand New is a flat circle.

I get it, and i've more or less given that advice to others. The difference this time is that they've gone halfway with issuing press releases giving merely a timeframe for a new single/album but don't go as far to let people know when as "summer" gets closer and closer to the end. I'm just tired of guessing.

 

I can see that, yeah. We've gone from knowing nothing to being given a slither of vague information, and as a result we're all just expecting more. I suppose in a way it's a 'give an inch and they'll take a mile' kinda thing, but given how vocal we are about this, they must be aware of how badly we want it. Give us something guys! Anything! Even if it's a five second, dire phone recording of a guitar riff from the studio or something.

It's a tundra out here, and the only thing that grows is our sadness. And how entitled I must sound.

 

anyone else still waiting fro a shipping notification from P!MT for the recent vinyl releases?

Also, I wish they would go ahead and put that Kevin Devine record up for preorder.

 

I definitely think they're more aware of our expectations and eagerness than even we realize sometimes. I know they've dropped hints at being aware of the subreddit.

 

Well the whole 'when it's finished' stuff definitely mocks it, but when else have they? Genuinely drawing blanks with that!

 

New album title contender?

 

I think that's gotta be something to do with the Brand New album announcement surely? Like, timing it all right? Otherwise I just don't get why they'd do it like that. I suppose it's nice to know a title and that it's happening, which with the former is more than can be said for BN at the moment at least. KD fans know to expect new music on the tour which is cool I guess.

 

Hahaaaa - three years of Creative Writing at uni might finally pay off with a Brand New album title. At least it would be worth something!

 

I'm officially predicting feb 2017 and if we don't have it by then I am going to say it isn't happening and they are ending their career with sealed to me being released as a single next summer

 

I think we'll definitely get it in 2016. They've released a few things lately within days of their existence being announced or leaked, so what's to stop them from doing the same here? What if it's already done and they're just waiting for a significant quantity of vinyl to be pressed so they can get it out the door ASAP?

 

Yeah, I think if they had any doubts whatsoever about it being released this year they'd have to say something. The only information we have confirms it for 2016.

I sincerely hope this is the case.

 

Idk I'm pretty sure the record we were supposed to hear was halted at some point, maybe they didn't think it was good enough and they scrapped it? Who knows but I'm curbing my optimism and going to guess that they decided not to tarnish their career with a sub par record. I'll change my mind tomorrow when someone on Reddit predicts it's coming out tomorrow though

 

The life of a Brand New fan in one sentence!

 

I would like to add the only press release that we have that says a full lp is coming out this year wasn't actually released by the band but released by chorus.. so is it possible that they sent that out as a press pack to a few publications knowing that if they had to fall back on somethings they could use the demos and nightmare as their 2016 release

 

Didn't the PMT one mention the single from the upcoming 2016 LP would be out in summer?

 

It did, and there are still more than 35 days left until the end of summer: How many days until Summer 2016?

Edit: I totally glossed over the post you were responding to, but this is still important information for all the people who are like "but we were supposed to get the song in the summer, it's mid-August, summer is over."

 

Information Report: Brand New - "I Am A Nightmare"

 

In all fairness, that says about the single being released in summer 2016. I may need new glasses because I can't see anything about the album being in 2016. Guys and girls...I'm panicking. Hahaha. *rocks back and forth*

Yeah. Nothing in that report indicated the album coming in 2016.

That was only in the information report from earlier in the year.

 

Yeah I just quickly glanced back at the one prior and it says 2016. That's oh so relieving. Come on guys. Anytime now.
