Story of the Year Announce Full Album Livestream Shows

Looking forward to this. Do wish they’d be a five-piece with Phil again though.

You ask literally anyone outside of this site with a gun to their head name one song outside of their breakout album and no one can name a single song. Even their one and only hit song... nobody can do it.

I've been coming here since like 2007 and I completely agree with this. What a ridiculous statement to make.

I also wish Phil was still with them to be a 5 piece, such a bummer. Their last album was great.

 

Man I've had so many guns to my head over SOTY songs and wow, you just never really know what that's like until you're there. /s

 

Brent's profile also states, "34 years young" so we know that this guys opinion is officially void but I digress. I completely agree on the Phil note, it feels like a piece of the puzzle is missing.

 

Look, Brent is apparently 'prestigious' so for one post I gave him some benefit of the doubt. But it's clear he is just a troll so let's ignore him and discuss instead how this is actually a super cool idea. Would love to see all three but especially the Black Swan show. Arguably the single most underrated album to come from this scene.

+1 for Black Swan. That is by far my favorite album of theirs. I spun that thing like crazy when it came out.

 

Perfect blend of their sound -- catchy like Page Avenue, aggressive like In The Wake. Unfortunately by that time I think that sound was just not as popular anymore. In a way you could argue the album was the, ahem, swan song for that 'scene' sound of the early to mid 00s.
