Really good. I personally loved the Swerve City which was a POG IPA so was really bright/citrusy. I actually bought a whole case of SC after first trying it. This is good. It’s a DDH IPA so not as fruity. Good mouthfeel tho.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

"Urantia", "This Link is Dead" and "Pompeji" are three of my favourite tones tracks in a minute, absolutely colossal songs

the rest hasn't grabbed me yet, everything is good, but I can't fully hop on the hype wagon as much as I wanted to

    No Fun. Not Ever.

The first single didn't really do much for me, but holy fuck did I enjoy Genesis. Currently about to listen to the whole thing.

OK, are people pronouncing it Pompeii or Pomp-edgy?

We reach for the longest shadow

How old does it make me sound to say I can’t wait to wake up early tomorrow, make my coffee, and blast this at like, 6am?

Im currently blowing my ear drums out as I listen to this in my ear pods while laying grass seed in my yard and turning the sprinkles on, so I feel ya.

So I'm halfway through right now. It's good, just really nothing out of the ordinary at this point.

If I could just forget it

The former I believe. It’s just an alternate spelling of the familiar word.

Got my first listen in on the way to work. Jesus, where do I even start? I was able to abstain from Genesis the whole week so I basically just started cackling as soon as that monster riff came in, Terry Date's mix is so much more full and aggressive than Matt Hyde's on Gore. From then on it was just hit after hit, the push and pull of Urantia, those sick chugging verses in Error, that lengthy outro in Spell, the driving energy of Radiant City. Whole record is a vibe and a half. Can't wait to spin it again on the way home

I feel like I'm hearing a different album than the rest of this thread. This feels hella uninspired and average for them. I'm shocked at how flat this album feels.

What are your favorite records of theirs? I think this breaks less new ground stylistically than KNY or Gore did when they released, which is either its blessing or curse.

there’s an argument to be made that this is their most aggressive album top to bottom since around the fur

  21. You could be on to something there, it's not aggressive the whole time but when these guys are on, they're on.

yeah I’m convinced you are too. or you’re not listening hard enough. whether you like it or not uninspired is the last thing this is

but every song basically has a heavy moment, there aren’t any overt attempts at breaking up the flow with a softer jam like sextape or entombed or teenager or whatever

  24. I love the way they play around with song structure on this thing, too. These songs ebb and flow so naturally and the segues/transitions seal the deal.
