As far as designs go I like the Series X fridge more than the PS5 router

 

Easily two of the worst console designs ever.

The Cold War Alpha is typical COD, def worth playing if you’re a fan but it won’t win over people who don’t care.

 

Hades is ridiculously addicting, I really wanna play more Mario but it's impossible.

 

I like Hades.

I think the hype for it is a bit overblown but its magnitudes better than I had remembered. Would rate it a low 8.

 

It's the most fun i've ever had in a rogue and that's just the mechanics. Add excellent progressive story and amazing visuals/music and you have what is probably going to end up being my favorite roguelike of all time, and i've played a good amount of rogues as you all know.

I know there's a few people on here who love it like I do

 

more people feel about it like you do than i do.

I vastly prefer dead cells in almost every way, except story of course, Hades is hella well written.

 

Yeah to each their own Lori! I'm just blown away by it, obviously because I keep fuckin talkin about it. I'm just so sucked into it and it's the feeling I strive for anytime I play a game. I'm gonna be playing this one for a long time, just like I did with BoI.

I've been jonesing for a good bow and arrow game and this hits the spot

 

no. hades is the best.

 

I've had great runs with the spear and the bow and am currently on a tear with the sword. I probably use the sword the most. I'm really not sure which is my favorite yet, I think it's great that I feel like I can have a great run with any weapon, they all are fun. Only ones I haven't gotten into is the shield, which I've only used once or twice and I have yet to use the gun.

 

I did a run earlier with the sword, my cousin was over and we were taking turns on each death. I picked up some weird combination of items so from like 3-4 minutes into the run I was literally just deleting stuff with the right click. I ended up forfeiting my run because I felt bad making him watch me mash my special lol

 

@oldjersey I see you post a lot about the Switch, my sister’s bf just for her one, and she asked about some games. I was hoping you could give me a small list to have her look up?

I told her Spellbreak, Risk of Rain 1/2, Celeste and Animal Crossing. I guess her bf got her Animal Crossing though. I want to say she said she likes fighting games a few weeks ago when I helped her move in, so maybe some of those?

 

Hmmm I can't speak for fighting games, not really my style. I don't think you can go wrong with Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild. There's games like Hollow Knight I always want to recommend but it's a fairly difficult game. I would deff tell her to get Risk of Rain 1 before 2 as it is much easier to get into and have fun with. Dead Cells is also another excellent rogue, it's hard for me to recommend stuff I feel like i'm into really niche stuff haha.

 

Stardew Valley is fantastic on Switch. Crypt of the Necrodancer is good too.

 

Ah Stardew valley is a great one I second that
