That clip of Jawbreaker sounds just like the beginning of My Ex's Best Friend, but I'm still all here for it.

I think it's standard practice these days to release the final single in the same week as the album drops for maximum impact. But obviously am not in the record industry etc.

Genuinely thought the album was dropping today. I got so excited to check it out and was hit hard with the fact it's next week

Interesting that there’s no vinyl pre-sale (at least none I can find). Would love to get a vinyl of this.

Obviously the original concept was better but given how little time they had to sort the issue I don’t mind the new one at all. I was expecting worse.

Can you imagine signing all those albums to the just find out that about the artwork controversy haha.

I could’ve sworn for the past month Apple Music had the release date as today until very recently.

I think it has always been the 25th for me since the album was officially announced. Weird!

Guessing the song clip in that is the next single?

I'm digging the new album cover much more. Its crazy they had the plagiarized version already printed out and signed. Thats crazy! I suppose the album art drama kinda goes with the theme of this new era for him too haha.

I honestly like the new cover more. But shit, he signed 13,000 copies before finding out it was plagiarized?
I don't understand why the label didn't just trying purchasing the rights of the image from the creator. Or just get a license to use the original image's likeness.
The amount of money that was lost from the copies already printed, makes no sense. Unless they did try and the artist didn't want anything to do with it.

Haha I would like to know how much money that cost them. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a sub-category of money from the budget in case something like this happens though.

It was confirmed he’s still shipping those 13,000 signed copies. Cool for those that ordered!

Would be awesome to have one of those copies!

Urgh I wish he left out that ignorant comment at the end about how we're being lied to and we should be allowed to have concerts now.

you may be surprised that (depending on distributor), you're only looking at about .50-.53 cost of goods per unit on fully printed CDs, so 1300 units signed is only about $650. That being said, they undoubtedly printed more than just that number of CDs, maybe about a 5000 unit initial order which has to be scrapped, so maybe around a $2500 loss. Which is obviously a fair amount of money, but in the whole scheme of things for the label it's not a huge deal.

Album rules. I wish a few songs were a bit longer but it's a huge burst of energy from start to finish and I'm here for it.
