what a perfect time to launch Apple Fitness+ when people are looking for workout alternatives to going to gyms. I wonder if this was their plan all along and timing just happened to line up right.

 

Just got a Series 6 for me and the SE for my wife. Pumped to get it.

 

Knew it wasn’t going to announced today, but I just want to reiterate how much I really want a new Apple TV.

 

Just ordered a Series 6 with the new solo loop band. I know there's nothing ground breaking with this release but i'm coming from a series 2 that takes about 3 minutes to boot up and about 20 seconds to open an app.

Decided to jump on to the iOS and iPadOS 14 GM’s. The auto switching of AirPods is such a game changer for me, working flawlessly as well. Spatial audio is very cool - I don’t usually watch stuff on the iPad outside of travelling but may start watching more when I’m having a lie in or something.

Must be cool to hate on Apple these days. How is Apple One any different from the likes of Amazon Prime?

 

My guess is that it's not, but amazon just probably doesn't have as big of an issue paying whatever % they need to to be hosted on apple devices because soon the world will be owned by Amazon and Apple collectively, where as Spotify is likely not only not doing as well as apple music, but losing subscribers due to ease of use on an iPhone.

Preference is surely subjective, but i can't see how iPhone users don't just use apple music if you're going to pay for a service.

i'm also positive that once productions are back to normal, TV+ is going to have a shit ton of great new original content to make it even more of a no brainer.

 

people who have gotten both airpods replaced...do they ship them separately? it lists them as separate parts on the repair invoice email and i have a tracking number for one, but the other says unavailable..

 

yeah I've gotten both of mine replaced multiple times and they always shipped in separate packages

I really love all these developers who are like "hey thanks for basically inventing the smartphone and making it the #1 product in the world creating a whole new economy for developers but uhhh...why should I have to pay you to use your stuff?"

 

ah thanks. i was annoyed at first but i guess it's the same principle as shipping new debit card and pin number separately...what is someone going to do with just one should they steal it? haha.

 

all this does is make me think they immediately regret giving out half a billion dollars between like 2 companies just for podcasts

 

i don't want to hear it from spotify. maybe if they start paying their artists better than apple music does, they'll have some room to talk.

Actually pretty excited about fitness+ seems really interesting, and definitely worth it with the new apple one plans. AH I'm definitely going to try getting a series 6 Apple Watch. The SE looks cool, but the always on screen is what I neeeeeeed.

 

Odd question.

The one primary thing which keeps me tethered to Bear for my notes is that I'm able to copy and paste URLs while browsing, and it makes a link which is the title of the page, and it's linked.

Super helpful when I'm making a list of pages to follow for the podcast I do.

I'd love to move back to Notes, but it seems the only way I can replicate this is:

1. Append to the Note, which drops it as a previewed link, like when you message someone.
2. Write the text, highlight, and hyperlink it.

Any thoughts of how I can get this automatic linking? It's kinda similar in Bear to how links work here, where by copying/pasting the URL, you get something like this: The New iPad Air and 8th Generation iPad: The MacStories Overview - MacStories
