How is this real?

 

I actually own a registered brand, and I can tell you that the companies one pays to monitor one’s brands are by default very aggressive. I can’t even imagine how mercilessly they pester a company like Monster into going after another big company. There’s so much money to be made for the middle men lol

 

Yeah Bam not being in the game is a letdown. Maybe they’ll release DLC skaters in the future

 

My partner was let down with no Bam included.

Maybe it’s intentional since he’s lately become very problematic. Granted he’s clearly struggling with severe drug use it seems.

 

I did not know that, but I also kinda doubt that that is the reason

 

There’s a poster of THUG2 in the remake and Bam isn’t on the poster so it’s probably just rights issues

 

There was a Tony interview a while back where someone asked him why Bam wasn't in. It got kinda quiet and shuffled to the side, and he said "Bam's got a lot going on lately" so they honestly might just be avoiding him given everything that's happened with him recently

Toxic and fire is definitely the best combo in terms of damage and movement impediment. You can easily set up a firewall and then hit them with the toxic cloud

 

was Bam Margera actually a good skater or was he more of just a personality

 

He was very good. Not like a Tony Hawk or a Rodney Mullen kind of good, but he was a pro skater for a reason. Not that it matters. He was a huge part of the franchise and also of the broader culture.

 

Take me back to 2004 where I’d play THUG 2 and then watch Viva La Bam

 

I just checked Bam’s IG and Tony is liking his posts so I at least don’t think Tony had anything to do with it

 

THUG2 and Viva La Bam was peak skateboarding life for me in middle school

 

As somebody who had no real connection to skate culture as a kid (other than my love of punk music), I always thought that the appeal of the Tony Hawk franchise to someone like me was its many similarities to Super Mario 64.

 

That is definitely a big part of it. It wouldn’t have taken off like it did if the gameplay and game design wasn’t so tight.

Could be, but so far all Sony has said is that it will be about upcoming games

 

Sony said it's a 40-minute presentation about launch day and launch window games. I'm not expecting the price or release date or preorders tomorrow, personally. I know a lot of people are though.
