And finally, Martinez to Villa for 20m.

Good to get great money for him, and I truly hope he does brilliantly.

Keep Villa up mate, I have faith in you. You'll always be a gunner.

On the positive side, we have raised the money for Aouar. Come on mate, come to Arsenal!

Kinda surprised Arsenal sold Martinez, but 20m after a dozen games isn't bad at all.

    It's all hell.

He needs first team football to get that Argentina #1 spot so there was no way he was going to stick around behind Leno. I'm gonna miss his lil' face though :tear:.

£20m is good business for both teams also!

He looked better than Leno to me. Now, I know Leno was good, but Martinez was very impressive. I'll defer to Arsenal fans though as I only have a limited view on him.

Leno is the better keeper overall, but Martinez is very impressive, especially with his feet, and very likeable. Good business for all, gonna miss him though.

Watched this live last night, was a great goal. Been rooting for the Loyal since I know one of their assistant coaches (Nate Miller). He was the head coach for the Lansing Ignite before they folded. He was the head coach of a NAIA school that I interned at when I was in college, really great guy. Even with Landon being their head coach, I can still see a lot of Nate's style on how they play. Hoping he gets another shot at being a head coach at the USL level.

Also that goal is impressive cause 99% of players just smash that into the sea of players. To see the chance and then pull off that chip is pretty impressive, especially at that level.

  14. The app is so dumb lol

I looked there and didn’t see it. I had to search for it to find it.

  15. Brighton could be the surprise mid table team this year. I like their backline a lot and they have a couple decent goal scorers.

They’ll lose today but I think they’ll have a solid season for them.

I was just thinking the same thing. Seems the club has a plan for building the club up from flirting with relegation to being a midtable club and beyond. Potter seems a quality manager too.

Imagine telling someone it'd be a Sarri signing who scores Chelsea's first goal of the season.

  19. Chelsea starting two new players and look rusty: they really need time to gel together

    hmmm

Chelsea's performance here has been poor. Not really doing much of anything.

  22. Difference is, Chelsea looks rusty but have converted their chances. Spurs did not.

Charity friendly vs New England Revolution, as part of a 'say no to anti-semitism' campaign. He was playing excellently before it happened & now he looks half the player he was since coming back.
