I don't agree that hip-hop is having a slow year at ALL, I've already listened to like 100 albums this year and there's still a ton on my list that I haven't gotten around to yet

 

It’s always just about finding the good stuff, it’s not always the huge artists that are constantly in your face. I think hip hop is having a great year.

 

Can't wait for the new 38 Spesh album

 

Yeah I mean Griselda alone is having a phenomenal year

 

Griselda as a whole, Uzi, Key Glock, KEY!, Gunna, Lil Baby, Sada Baby, SahBabii, Rod Wave, Freddie, Polo G, Young Dolph, and 03 Greedo all released great projects off the top of my head

 

Uzi, Polo G, Rod Wave, Juice WRLD, Kyle, Amine, and Freddie Gibs are my favorites so far this year.

 

Okay I'm hooked on bbymutha. This album is straight flames. Don't sleep on it.

No clue. I'd never even heard of her before a few days ago and then saw that. Real shitty regardless.

Damn, Conway has always been the one I'm into the least out of the three of them but he's growing on me a ton right now

Honestly Benny might get demoted to #3 but they're all great obviously

 

Benny is one for me, Tana Talk 3 and The Plugs I Met are easily the two best things Griselda have put out.

has this song ever been sampled in hip hop or am I crazy because I looked it up and the only person that sampled it was jeremih

 

Maybe that song uses a sample that others have used

I checked the original mix and nothing and then the underground dance mix just had dj Rashad mix and jeremih so apparently not

 

So, I didn't do a classics thread this week as I thought i'd start to make it fornightly from now on. The threads have been getting less and less attention in the past month, so figured it'd be best to give each album two weeks instead of one. Always knew that the threads would start slowing down, just a surprise it lasted so long before really slowing down.

That and I saw a Bieber thread on the first page of the forum with 7 pages and got depressed haha
