Interesting that it's retailing in the UK for £449. The UK is usually the first to get screwed by matching the US and not taking into account currency differences.

 

Can we please talk about how awful that Destruction Allstars box art looks?

 

$500 for the Series X isn't bad. If the PS5 is the same price, hardware wise, the Xbox is a better deal. That said, I'm not getting either console at $500. No way. They would have to drop a launch game that is Breath of the Wild acclaim level and I don't see that happening with any of the already announced games.

 

Financing is a smart idea for the age of the pandemic. It's definitely an affordable option if you can't afford it all at once.

 

The fact that the financing includes GamePass is a very, very smart thing to do.

 

Kinda want a S and X...

Still on fence about when I get PS5. PS4 has too much dust on it to justify day one.

 

definitely getting ps5, but might consider doing financing for the S as a games pass machine.

 

499 for the X is some crazy ass shit I did not see coming.

that's very little money for an extreme amount of power.

 

Feel like it doesn't make a ton of sense for the consumer. You wind up saving just $20 over just buying the X and 24 months of game pass. But you're locked into paying for game pass for two years. Feels like if you're gonna do that, you're gonna want a bigger discount.

I have played the TH remake now. I have mixed feelings. On one hand I love it, but on the other hand it made me once again realize that 1 and 2 aren’t the best TH games in terms of level design, mission design etc.

 

I mean, for some people the monthly payment plan, overall discount or not, might make the difference between no console, or a console and very few games, and a console with a lot of games to play.

Sure, but I think an installment plan than just let them spend the $21 a month without forcing them to bundle game pass would be better.

 

X for 4K TV in living room and S in bedroom on 1080p TV. Faster loading, better performance is tempting. Was going to just put One X in bedroom, but S is tempting.

 

I think retailers have those, no?

 

It wouldn’t qualify here in Austria for a payment plan at our biggest retailer that offers that kind of deal because it starts at 500 euros lol

 

The price of the S is tempting, but like, I have gamepass now and I don't really use it because all my games and all my friends are on PS4.

Xbox nailed the pricing and the ease of access, etc but they still haven't sold me on the games and that's a huge huge drawback.
