i honestly haven't listened to the non conor stuff on outer south in probably a decade

 

ah, yes, me saying that i like two albums more than the rest means that i think every song on the other albums is bad

lyrically, sure i get it, just doesnt do it for me musically at all. It's like a nice book of poetry

 

Ruminations > Conor Oberst > Salutations > Outer South > UDM

anyways, this album rules lol. mariana trench and stairwell song are two of his best

 

I would say my top 3 of the album include those 2 songs along with Comet Song. But Calais to Dover and To Death’s Heart are like literally right there.

 

yeah swap calais with the other two i mentioned and that’s mine

i don’t really get the negative reviews (including the one on this site) at all

 

its to deaths heart, calais to dover and dance and sing for me. stairwell song was a close 4th.

GREAT album. becoming one of my favorites from him.

 

It might be a bit early but I'm starting to think this is THE best bright eyes record.
