It's also hilarious how out of touch she is that she's saying she only took her mask off for her hair washing and saying anyone would do that. Like, uhh, no. There are plenty of stylists who are refusing to wash hair if the client isn't wearing a mask. It's absolutely possible to do with one on

The more I read about it today the more it actually does seem like a set up. The salon owner was letting individual stylists take individual customers there? If that’s illegal, then it seems like the responsibility is on the business to say “sorry were closed”, isn’t it? Certainly not their responsibility to invite the customer in and then release (sell?) security cam footage of it. Wtf is that?

At the end of the day though, she’s dumb for not waiting a day or two to get it done at home and dumb to not wear a mask. That’s not debatable.

Either way I hope she hangs it up after 2 years in the majority with Biden as pres if he wins. Get some new blood in leadership please.

I wasted too much of my time (twenty minutes) reading about it yesterday. Yeah, it's pretty clear what happened. She's also an idiot for getting involved and for keeping this in the news. Go do your damn job Nancy. And wear a damn mask.

 

Meh, if I call a business and ask them if they can do something for me and they say they can, I'm usually trusting that whatever it is they're doing is legal.

Yup even if everything she did is totally legal its still a bad look to do it in the middle of a pandemic. Not everyone can clear out a hair salon for a personal styling appointment. That is just a move that reeks of privilege.

I mean, I know "A lot of things are shut down" but, at least out here, what is and isn't allowed has varied incredibly from week to week and from state to state. I couldn't even tell if you anymore what is and isn't open around here. I thiiiiiink hair salons are open by appointment only now, but I couldn't tell you 100%. I'd def be calling to ask first and if they say "yeah, come in", I'm probably thinking "oh okay cool they are allowed then"

 

The +13 was certainly a bit of an outlier, Florida was never gonna be that close, but that is still a pretty big swing. Wonder how much of it is tied to the coronavirus situtation in Florida going from "very bad" to "still honestly bad but looks good compared to a month ago"

David why do you defend the most idiotic things in the world? Pelosi is the speaker of the house, one of the five most watched/hated Dems in America and she represents California. It is her job to know and in 2020 with a burgeoning dictator in the White House and a pandemic that’ll likely suppress voting (making the election closer than it should be), just generally being smart enough to avoid the simplest controversy is the absolute least we can expect of her. I already said it was dumb. Seems like there's others here who can't bring themselves to admit that it was shady at best and a political hit job at worst. The dunks are too important, I suppose.
